How do I know if it was God who was speaking to me last night?

I think it was Him, and that He said I would become great among many. He talked about me becoming extremely powerful so that I may be equipped to battle Satan and purge our nation of iniquity. However, my uncle was staying at our house in the next room and he sometimes reads his science fiction books out loud. How do I know if it was God or my uncle?
