Should I move to New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA?

Los Angeles definitely. Police are wanted much more there, and can make more salaries. Also outside of LA are a lot of slightly smaller towns (about the size of san jose), and if you moved to those towns you could still work in LA, and go to college there, but living would be MUCH cheaper.
