MTG Arguement question: Equip rules?

Okay my friends and I were playing EDH. I attacked my friend with a 6/6 flyer with fear. So he didn't block. It was equiped with sunforger so it has +4+0. He used sorceress queen to make it a 0/2. Even after it's a 0/2 is it still a 4/2 because of sunforger? Please help
